Benvenuti a Trisha's Italy! Welcome to Trisha's Italy!
Trisha has a passion for Italy. And all things Italian.
Her passion began brewing when she was just a little girl, living in the city of Philadelphia, in the United States, with her parents and younger brother. Growing up, the Italian language was a part of her daily life, as her father comes from a small town in southern Italy. As true Italian tradition, family was never far away. They lived across the street from her nonni, grandparents, who didn't speak a word of English, and therefore from a young age she developed a wild curiosity for how languages work.
Watching the Italian channel, learning delectable recipes from her nonna, listening to the fascinating, but confusing, southern dialect, and witnessing Italian customs, as she got older her passion and curiosity continued to grow.
At 8 years old, Trisha experienced the country of Italy for the first time, and every single detail remains engraved in her memory.
Her last year of university was spent in la città eterna, Rome, and from there she lived for a few years in her father’s hometown of Montella, in the province of Avellino. However, she couldn't resist the beauty and charm of Rome.
From being an experience translator for an Italian pharmaceutical giant, and an English teacher for the Italian government and various international companies, her talents don’t stop there. She is a travel planner and has worked with a renowned Italian travel company that offers tours surrounding the life and concerts of Andrea Bocelli, including his most famous performance at The Teatro del Silenzio in his hometown in Tuscany. She spent her days sipping an assortment of wines at the vineyards with guests, while planning their dream vacations and events throughout the country.
Her passion for Italy is undeniable and her love for teaching others about this fascinating place is even more evident through her Italian lessons as they are filled with cultural and historical facts, as well as some favorite dialectal phrases from around the country, immersing you fully in true Italian fashion.
I am so happy to share my knowledge and appreciation of this beautiful country, the romantic language, and the charming people.
